Batavia Union Cemetery has served families around the surrounding communities since the 1800’s As a shared resource between two local governments, the cemetery reflects the kind of cooperation that has defined this community since its earliest days. 

The cemetery is open daily from dawn to dusk and is patrolled regularly by the Batavia Police Department.

Governance

The cemetery is overseen by a Board of Cemetery Trustees made up of one member of Batavia Village Council, one member of the Batavia Township Board of Trustees, and one community member at large, appointed each year at a joint meeting of the two governing bodies.
