Police Department

The Village of Batavia Police Department provides full-service community policing for Village residents and businesses. Officers are on patrol around the clock, serving as a constant and familiar presence on Village streets.

Beyond emergency response, the department handles code enforcement, traffic safety, community outreach, and school resource officer duties at Batavia local schools. Village officers are typically the first on scene for calls throughout the area, including mutual aid to neighboring jurisdictions.

The Clermont County Sheriff's Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol (traffic only) also have jurisdiction within the Village, so you may occasionally see their officers responding to incidents or assisting with enforcement. They are valued public safety partners, but for most local law enforcement needs, the Village Police Department is your primary point of contact and the first resource for assistance.
